READING FOR CHARITY CONTEST: The book is not directly related to charity, however there are many themes that hint at the generosity and compassion that one might never knew existed in so many people. Matt Storan is hunted down the mean streets of Chicago by both the law and drug syndicates in order to find his kidnapped girlfriend and the diabolical mastermind behind it all. An affluent sociopath, whom Matt once called a friend. Will the help of new friends, and the intrinsic goodness of others be able to save everything Matt has ever known?

Matt Storan has recently relocated to the city of Chicago in order to pursue his graduate’s degree in philosophy. Matt is conflicted in many ways by his relationships with friends and family, and needs a change of scenery and faces. He is a man who is sheltered in many ways.

One night as Matt sits lonely in his apartment with nothing to do except zone out watching television, he becomes inspired to venture out into the city and "Just grab a drink." It is on this night in a small inner city bar that Matt meets Richard Haberton.

A man who seems out of place at the little pub, flashing his wealthy attire and buying all the patrons drinks. After some conversation Matt and Richard seem to hit it off, and Richard agrees to show Matt around. To act as a guide to the city’s night life, showing Matt a new world of glitz, and extravagance.

When Matt isn’t planning for school, or going out with Richard Haberton he is with Vicky. A new girlfriend and down to earth yoga instructor who seems to be "Just Right."  She's good looking, generous and more than compassionate.

Richard Haberton in his thirties has grown bored with business and the typical things money can buy. Now the only commodity that interests Richard is human life and the power he can wield over it.

Matt Storan seems to be the next unknowing victim in Richards quest to end his boredom and make a true showing of Richards power and endless greed.

Richard slowly lures Matt into his world of money and power to gain information about Matt, in order to set him up in a scheme that Matt could never escape.

Rumor has it that Richard Haberton has been creating his own site. I can't stop him, so might as well check it out. I have been told that Vicky has a site for her yoga studio as well. This one I would reccomend.
